Tuning in to Tregoniggie!

Spaces to join our nature-based programmes have now closed, and participants taking part in sessions with the Sensory Trust have been busy exploring the abundance of nature in Tregoniggie Woodland.

One of the highlights so far has been using a parabolic listening device - a large, dish-shaped microphone paired with headphones - to tune into the various species of birds chatting away in the canopy.

Alongside discovering the auditory treasures hidden in the treetops, participants have also been exploring what lies underfoot.

Using Gofindit cards for inspiration, they set out to notice and collect different textures, shapes, and natural features scattered across the woodland floor. From pale mushrooms to crinkly leaves, the forest offered up plenty of small wonders to connect with.

This is just a small taste of how the Sensory Trust make noticing nature fun!
