The research is being conducted at the European Centre for Environment and Human Health.

Part of the University of Exeter Medical School and based at the Penryn campus in Cornwall, the Centre leads world-class research into the links between natural environments and health.

Its research focuses on capturing the positive and negative impacts the natural environment can have on wellbeing, and also involves understanding how environmental challenges, such as climate change, might impact health.

Academic partners

We also work closely with researchers at the University of Plymouth.

They form part of an organisation called PenARC which works alongside local communities, practitioners, and academic researchers to address issues facing the health and social care system.

Funding

Greengage is funded by a grant from the National Institute for Health Research.

It is helping us to work with a brilliant array of partners.

Together, we have designed a six-week programme of nature-based activities, tailored to help people who may benefit from mental health support.

This study has received ethical approval following a formal review, IRAS reference number 330360.
