Celebrating Social Prescribing!
Today is National Social Prescribing Day - a celebration of the many ways people can be supported to improve their health and wellbeing through connection, community, and meaningful activity.
Nature-based activities are a key pillar of social prescribing, and our GREENGAGE study has been exploring how these approaches can support people experiencing anxiety and depression, helping to shape the design of future, larger-scale research.
Dr. Katie Gibbs, Research Fellow on the project, recently presented the aims and design of the study at a Primary Care conference. Her poster sparked valuable discussions about the role of nature-based interventions within local communities, and won Best Poster award!

As the study progresses, we’re looking forward to sharing our findings in the coming months.
We are extremely grateful to all participants for their involvement, and to our partners, whose care and dedication help make these outdoor experiences supportive, inclusive, and meaningful.
